UEFA EURO 2020 Group-B and Group-C are done with their respective group matches. Top two teams from each group are qualified for next round and third placed teams are waiting for their qualification based on other group results.
Here, will look at group wise analysis of each team.
Group-B
In Group-B we have Belgium, Denmark, Finland and Russia.
As every football fan expected Belgium crushed this group with their best performances, won all of the three matches and topped the group. Except the form of Eden Hazard this golden generation team of Belgium do not have any flaws in their system. The same form can be expected in their upcoming matches too.
Denmark, after losing their key player Eriksen due to health issues it fought back very well game wise and mentally. They made Belgium fight for win against them and won comfortably against Russia which shows that they are playing well.
Finland, after beating Denmark in their opening match of EURO 2020 they were not much effective in their two games against Russia and Belgium. Though they finished third in the group after lagging behind Denmark due to goal difference, there are very few chances that they qualify for further rounds.
Russia, after successfully hosting World Cup 2018 and performances in the same campaign, they had below par performances in this year's EURO. Except the match against Finland they haven't showed any intent.
Group-C
Group-C consists of Netherlands, Austria, Ukraine and North Macedonia.
Netherlands is one of the three teams that won all of the three matches in group. Even though they are missing some of their best players they are playing exceptionally well. The team that studded with experience and young players, they are one of the title favourites for this year's EURO.
Austria on other hand finishing second above Ukraine is quite unexpected. They have shown some beautiful football. This is one of those dark horses for every other team to keep an eye on.
Ukraine, after very good performances in EURO qualifiers they haven't shown the same intent and play in the final tournament. After winning qualifiers group they are expected to qualify for further rounds but now they have to wait and see for others' results.
North Macedonia has performed well with their limited resources. After many years they are playing a major tournament so they don't have much expectations. They gave some beautiful memories to their captain who played last match for his country on the last game that North Macedonia played.
